The Lemme founder, 46, shared an Instagram post on Friday, Aug. 8, that included a photo of 21-month-old sonRocky Thirteenon a boat without a life vest.

A day later, and after she faced backlash for the safety hazard, Kardashian Barker shared a post on her Instagram Stories, speaking out about the controversy.

“Update: bought a life vest that fits!” the mom of four wrote over a screenshot of an infant life vest.

“Good looking out. Honestly didn't think about some of the dangers,” Kardashian Barker continued. “Thank you for making me aware and hopefully this helps make other mommies aware of the dangers of certain types of boating without a life vest.”

Other images included in her Aug. 8 post indicated that Kardashian Barker was in Idaho, where it is required that children 14 years of age and younger must wear a life vest while on the water.

Fans expressed concern on social media about Kardashian Barker's move to not have her youngest child wear protective gear during the boat outing.

“Great photo except for the fact the child has no life jacket on,” one person wrote in the comments section of her post.

“You can make those kinds of decisions for yourself. But don’t make a decision like that for your child. PLEASE," they added.

A user on Reddit said, "Rocky should be wearing a life jacket. Such dangerous neglect," as another wrote, "Kids on boats should always be wearing appropriate life vests, and it looks like it’s sitting in the seat right next to them."

“C'mon Kourt. You both should be wearing life jackets ... everyone on that boat should be,” one other person commented on Instagram.

Kardashian Barker later shared the same photo of herself and son Rocky on her Instagram Stories on Aug. 8. Over the image, she highlighted World Breastfeeding Week.

"Blessed and grateful for this beautiful life and experience together with my baby," she wrote, in part.
