There is one more reason to visit Wilmington, North Carolina. An adorable spot in our number one City On The Rise in 2024, was just voted the best bed-and-breakfast in the country.

The C.W. Worth House topped USA TODAY's 2025 10BEST Readers' Choice Awards for Best Bed-and-Breakfast. While undoubtedly always an honor, it’s not exactly a surprise for the cozy spot, as this marks its third consecutive year as a winner.

Owners Jeff Mason and Jen Blomberg transformed the 1893 Queen Anne-style home into the C.W. Worth House. The three-story boutique hotel has just seven guest rooms, making it feel downright homey, and guests are served a farm-to-table breakfast each morning. Additionally, it is just a short walk from the B&B to Wilmington’s charming Riverwalk and all the restaurants and attractions of one of our favorite Southern cities.

"We are deeply honored to be named once again USA TODAY’s Best Bed-and-Breakfast in the country," Mason said, the Star News Online reports. "From the beginning, we’ve poured our hearts into creating a place where exceptional service meets a relaxed, romantic atmosphere—where modern comforts blend seamlessly with historic charm. We look forward to continuing to welcome guests to experience it for themselves."

Of course, anyone looking to explore other B&Bs in the South has plenty of other great options, including three other inns on the 10BEST list. Also making the top ten on the readers’ choice list were Durham’s Morehead Manor Bed-and-Breakfast, The Historic Magnolia House in Greensboro, North Carolina, and The Inn at Onancock in Onancock, Virginia.
