Twin-Turbo Inline-Six Dodge Charger Sounds Like Garbage

As you might already know, Dodge was filming in downtown Detroit with its new twin-turbo, inline-six Charger Outlaw. While some automotive sites have tried gaslighting people into believing what they hear in the video footage of the car drifting through a turn sounds amazing, the thing in fact sounds like garbage. We’d put it on the same level as an EcoBoost Mustang.

Enthusiasts threaten to sell their performance cars because of Florida’s new super speeder law.

We can’t believe the idiots at Stellantis and Dodge traded the Hemi V8 for this dog water powertrain. Seriously, we’ve heard Honda Civics which sound better. The Dodge Charger Sixpack is just what we thought: a cruel joke.

This footage uploaded to Reddit probably means Dodge is moving forward with trying to market the straight-six Chargers. There were rumors the things would be killed before going to market, but that apparently wasn’t true.

Considering the brand has tried, unsuccessfully, to convince everyone the Hornet crossover is cool and muscular, we’re just not surprised. We are, however, disappointed, although our expectations for Dodge have been dropping precipitously for some time now.

The few enthusiasts, outside of media that are getting wined and dined by Dodge to praise its products, who act excited for the new six-cylinder Chargers always go to the supposed performance figures.

After all, the Hurricane in twin-turbo form supposedly produces 550-horsepower and 521 lb.-ft. of torque. Those numbers sound totally impressive if you just forget the Hellcat ever existed. Plus, power figures on paper versus power bands in real life can be vastly different.

For now, all we know is the new Dodge Charger sounds just awful. The engine and exhaust have a ricer flair to them, and we don’t say that as a compliment at all. This isn’t a muscle car, it’s a mockery.

Stellantis and Dodge have once again whiffed it and are trying to convince everyone their garbage car is cool. You can hear it for yourself in the video clip: it sounds awful compared to a supercharged Hemi V8.
