Can Am Spyder Flees From Georgia Police

Watching a suspect on a Can Am Spyder run from police through Atlanta, Georgia is truly wild on several levels. Like some other police chases, this one has close calls and a thrilling conclusion. But it’s also wild someone used a Can Am Spyder to try running from cops.

We’ve seen some wild police chases, but surprisingly enough this might be the first we’ve ever witnessed where the suspect was on three wheels. When we really think about it, that’s remarkable and says something about who gets these tricycle bikes and cars.

This pursuit, which is shown in the included dashcam footage, began because the trooper observed the Can Am didn’t have a license plate. If you want a surefire way to have the cops on your tail in no time, just venture out onto the road in any vehicle and don’t put a tag on it.

You can see the guy isn’t riding recklessly but instead is just cruising down the highway. Once the trooper switches on his lights, the suspect move to the right like he’s going to pull over, then hits it and takes an exit, then cuts across the gore point and accelerates more.

He passes on both shoulders, actually takes an exit, and weaves through traffic to try ditching the trooper. But the little Spyder just doesn’t have the guts to ditch a Georgia State Patrol cruiser. Still, the suspect seems to think if he tries harder it will happen.

Acting a little smarter, the guy starts leveraging the Can Am’s maneuverability more, exiting the highway and snaking through tight turns, even going the wrong way to ditch the trooper. But the guy overplays his hand and the trooper plays his advantage in power and acceleration, bringing the chase to a sudden end.

We still can’t believe someone on a three-wheeled Can Am Spyder ran from the police.
