Movie Based on Action-Comedy Comic ‘Top Secret Service’ in the Works (Exclusive)


In a preemptive deal, Solipsist Films has taken the film rights to Top Secret Service, an upcoming action-comedy comic book from writer Zack Keller and illustrator Giovanna La Pietra.
The high-concept comic is described as in the spirit of Midnight Runand48 Hrs., with adding in the political suspense ofAir Force One. The goal for the movie is to pair two young actors with an older actor as the President of the United States.

Keller will write the script, with Solipsist’ Stephen L’Heureux producing. The producer, known for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, is also developing Universal’s Kung Fu movie that has Donnie Yen attached to star..
Keller’s varied credits include the comic seriesCuphead,The Walking Deadvideo games, and Disney’sDuckTales, while La Pietra is known for work on title such as Red Sonja.
As for Top Secret Service, its publication plan is expected to be announced this fall at New York Comic Con.
