FalconGames2025-07-177800

The latest Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds trailer shows off how players can customize their racers with selectable vehicle parts and gadgets. Speed is the name of the game for Sonic the Hedgehog, and this will continue to ring true when Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds launches on most major platforms on September 25. This time, Sonic and his friends find themselves zooming between dimensions thanks to special portals, allowing players to travel to different courses during a single race.

With 23 base characters and plenty more to be added in post-launch DLC, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds gives players many options for choosing the best character and vehicle to tear through the multidimensional tracks. In addition to the standard cars, players will also be able to select the Extreme Gear hoverboards from the Sonic Riders series, and each vehicle can be customized to suit the player’s preferences towards speed, handling, or acceleration.

The latest Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds trailer also showed off some of the gadgets that players can use to get ahead on the racetrack. Knuckles the Echidna is shown using a boxing glove-like Rocket Punch to knock over an opponent, and this can be altered into a giant-sized version that rewards the player with Rings on impact. Players can even create combinations like the Air Trick Expert Set, which Shadow the Hedgehog uses to gain Rings and momentum by performing a series of midair flips.
