Genshin Impact has officially revealed the lineup for the first half of Version 5.8, as Xingqiu, Fischl, and Sethos will join Ineffa and Citlali on the Event Banners after July 30, 2025. With one last update until Nod-Krai opens its doors, Genshin Impact is setting up Version 5.8 with two things in mind: to set up the next region of Teyvat, and to say a farewell to the Natlan era. This goal is reflected with its banner characters, as the Special Program Announcement revealed that the 5-Stars in Version 5.8 would be Ineffa, Citlali, Mualani, and Chasca.
Ineffa in Genshin Impact is the first playable character from Nod-Krai. She is a 5-Star Electro Polearm that brings two things to the table: a decent shield and the Lunar-Charged reaction. The main combat mechanic of Nod-Krai will involve giving Elemental Reactions a new spin, and in that sense, Lunar-Charged is an offshoot of Electro-Charged. It can crit, has new visuals, and scales based on the entire party rather than the character who triggers it.

Genshin Impact Leaks Three New Characters for Version 6.0
A reliable source in the Genshin Impact community reveals the rarity and elements of the two characters who will debut with Lauma in Version 6.0.
Posts 4In anticipation of Version 5.8, Genshin Impact shared the Event Banners for the first half of the update across social media. While this will be Ineffa's debut on the Event Banners, it will also mark the return of Citlali – one of the best support characters in Genshin Impact, especially for Melt and Freeze. Xingqiu, Fischl, and Sethos will accompany these two 5-Stars. While Sethos primarily thrives in Aggravate, Fischl and Xingqiu are classic 4-Stars that can form the backbone of a powerful Electro-Charged team. In that sense, the first half is catered more towards Ineffa than Citlali.
Genshin Impact: Version 5.8 First Half Banner Characters
Ineffa – 5-Star Electro Polearm Citlali – 5-Star Cryo Catalyst Xingqiu – 4-Star Hydro Sword Fischl – 4-Star Electro Bow Sethos – 4-Star Electro BowIt remains to be seen how the second half will shake out. On the one hand, both Mualani and Chasca are underrated hypercarries from the Natlan era; on the other hand, the developers are aware that most Genshin Impact players are already eyeing the two 5-Stars of Version 6.0 – Flins and Lauma. Given that Bennett in Genshin Impact is receiving a new outfit in Version 5.8, and the fact that he synergizes with both Mualani and Chasca, he will likely be one of the 4-Stars on the Event Banners. The other two remain a complete unknown.
CloseIn terms of the Weapon Banner for Version 5.8, Starcaller's Watch is probably the most universal pick. However, unless players want a specific Signature Weapon for any of the 5-Stars in the update, their Primogems are best saved for Nod-Krai and its upcoming Genshin Impact characters. The first half banners for Version 5.8 will open on July 30, 2025.
