These Fords play in the big leagues

We live in a time where Ford’s cheapest new car is a pickup truck. Long gone are affordable small Fords like the Fiesta and Focus, as the Blue Oval has largely left the Japanese and Korean brands to pick up the slack in the entry-level segment. At the other end of the price spectrum, the most expensive Ford cars are for those with much deeper pockets. These are the five priciest new Fords, ranked from least to most expensive. We have only selected the most expensive trim of each model for this list.

5. Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum: $84,995

At $84,995, Ford’s electric pickup truck carries a high price in fully loaded Platinum guise. Standing tall on 22-inch bright machined aluminum-faced wheels, it immediately looks the part of an upscale pickup. It also gets LED box lighting, LED projector headlights, a power tailgate, and a twin-panel moonroof.

The interior challenges the best Ram pickups for luxury in the truck segment, with premium Nirvana leather, massaging front seats, heated front/rear seats, and a B&O Unleashed sound system. The 12-inch digital gauge cluster and 15.5-inch touchscreen add a high-tech look to the posh environment.

Equipped with dual electric motors and the 131-kWh Extended Range battery, this mighty pickup makes 580 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque. No gas-powered F-150 will keep up in a straight line, and despite its heft, this Ford can cover 300 miles on a full charge.

4. Ford Expedition Max King Ranch: $86,975

The most expensive version of Ford’s largest SUV is now over $85,000, which we previously mentioned has some tough competition at that price. Being the Max version of the Expedition, this SUV stretches to over 220 inches in length, boosting cargo and third-row passenger space.

This top Expedition features 22-inch Sinister Bronze diamond cut machined aluminum wheels, special lighting within the grille, and power-deployable running boards. The well-appointed cabin is dressed in Del Rio leather upholstery in a Mesa/Ebony color scheme. The pedals and front seats are power-adjustable, and even the third row has a power-reclining function.

The driver gets access to a 24-inch panoramic instrument panel display and a 13.2-inch center stack, while everyone can enjoy their favorite tunes from the 22-speaker B&O Unleashed sound system.

In King Ranch guise, the Expedition Max gets a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 with 400 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic and standard 4x4 complete the package for this capable but pricey SUV.

3. Ford F-450 Super Duty Platinum: $94,035

Despite being Ford’s biggest, baddest pickup, the F-450 Platinum isn’t actually the most expensive Ford truck. It’s close, though, with a monstrous MSRP of $94,035 for this F-450 Platinum.

19.5-inch forged polished aluminum wheels distinguish this as one of Ford’s Super Duty pickups, although it’s the F-450’s sheer size in every direction you’ll notice first. It also gets power-deployable running boards (which many people will actually need to enter and exit this tall pickup with any amount of grace), a power-operated tailgate, LED projector headlights, and LED box lighting.

Inside, like the other two Fords already covered, there is a B&O Unleashed sound system, although this one “only” has 14 speakers. The front seats are heated and ventilated, and there’s a 12-inch digital gauge cluster.

As standard, the F-450 Platinum gets a 6.7-liter V8 turbodiesel engine with 475 hp and 1,050 lb-ft. For $3,000 more, you can add the high-output version of this engine with incredible outputs of 500 hp and 1,200 lb-ft. With the more powerful diesel, the F-450 can tow up to 30,000 lbs. Other F-450 trims that aren't as posh can tow as much as 40,000 lbs.

2. Ford F-150 Raptor R: $110,930

This is the most expensive Ford pickup you can buy. While the normal F-150 Raptor has a V6 and starts at $79,005, the Raptor R has a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 that adds $31,925 to the total price. Not only does it sound sensational, but the 720-hp Raptor R is a great performer, both on and off the road.

Features like massive all-terrain tires, FOX Dual-Live Valve Shox, and heavy-duty skid plates allow this brute of a truck to be driven at high speeds in demanding off-road conditions.

Inside, the Raptor comes with a 12-inch productivity screen, a 12-inch touchscreen, a B&O Unleashed sound system, a heads-up display, and a lot more. Despite the already-high price, you can add a bunch of options to the Raptor R, such as a twin-panel moonroof for $1,495 and a trailer tire pressure monitoring system for $1,220.

With butch looks, unsurpassed power, and wildly capable off-roading capabilities, the Raptor R is the ultimate Ford truck. It's the most expensive Ford vehicle that can handle dirt roads.

1. Ford Mustang GTD: $318,760

Ford doesn’t publish the price of the Mustang GTD on its website, but a leaked window sticker of a 2025 model confirmed that it has a base MSRP of $318,760. As far as road-legal Fords go, this makes it the brand’s most expensive car by a massive margin. Besides the base price, the gas-guzzler tax adds another $3,700 and the destination and delivery charge is $5,500.

A 5.2-liter supercharged V8 engine produces 815 hp, and that goes to the rear wheels via an eight-speed Tremec dual-clutch transaxle. Brembo carbon ceramic brakes help to bring the Ford to a stop from high speeds, and carbon fiber body panels save valuable pounds. Massive power and a semi-active racing suspension helped the GTD become the first American sports car to achieve a sub-seven-minute time when lapping the Nürburgring.

Inside, the GTD gets Recaro racing seats, a 13.2-inch touchscreen, a 12.4-inch gauge cluster, and a 12-speaker B&O sound system. But all the features in the world pale when compared to the experience this Mustang must offer on a race track.

That’s why it’s the most expensive new Ford you can buy.
