1988 Callaway Twin Turbo Corvette Returns to Market with Low Miles and NCRS Honors

A rare 1988 Chevrolet Corvette Callaway Twin Turbo has resurfaced for sale, representing one of only 400 factory-authorized examples modified by Callaway Cars during the C4 era. Originally delivered to Landmark Chevrolet in Houston, this specific car — #55 in the B2K production run — is now being offered at no reserve with just 24,000 miles on the odometer.

Finished in Charcoal Metallic and equipped with the distinctive Callaway Aerobody package, the car is powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.7-liter L98 V8 that delivers 382 horsepower and 562 lb-ft of torque. A Doug Nash 4+3 four-speed manual transmission, which features automatic overdrive on the upper three gears, routes power to the rear wheels via a limited-slip differential.

The Callaway B2K twin-turbo package was an official Regular Production Option (RPO) available through select Chevrolet dealers from 1987 to 1991. Vehicles ordered with the B2K code were shipped from the Bowling Green assembly plant directly to Callaway’s headquarters in Old Lyme, Connecticut, for modification. Enhancements included lower-compression forged pistons, dual turbochargers with integrated wastegates, and dual intercoolers—all installed with factory-level precision.

This example rides on Callaway-branded 17-inch Dymag wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires and features the optional Z51 Performance Handling Package, which added upgraded suspension components and Bilstein shocks. The cabin is finished in gray leather with power-adjustable seats, a Delco-Bose audio system, and a digital dash.

Documentation includes a build sheet, window sticker, Callaway materials, and National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) Top Flight and Second Flight awards earned in 2005. Despite a Carfax mileage entry of 56,000 miles in 2020 and 2021, the current odometer reading is listed as 24,000.

Now consigned for sale in Connecticut, this well-preserved and highly collectible Corvette offers a rare opportunity to own one of the most iconic aftermarket collaborations of the 1980s, backed by documentation and accolades that enhance its value.
