Crocs Has Exciting News for Animal Crossing Fans

KodaGames2025-07-093550

Crocs has announced a new collaboration with Nintendo to launch the first-ever Animal Crossing collection. This isn't the first time Crocs has teamed up with a major Nintendo IP like Animal Crossing. The brand previously released a Pokemon-themed collection, which became a big hit among fans.

Crocs' Pokemon collaboration launched in October 2024, featuring Charizard, Gengar, Jigglypuff, and Snorlax, along with customizable Jibbitz charms. Given the success of that crossover, it looks like Crocs is preparing for another Nintendo-themed collection, this time based on one of the company's most beloved cozy games.

Adults can pick up the Platform Clog sets priced at $69.99 USD, while a Classic Clog version will be available for kids for $54.99. In a previous video game collaboration, Crocs partnered with Minecraft and featured not only physical footwear but also a virtual in-game Crocs collection. Now, some Animal Crossing fans are calling the upcoming Crocs collab a missed opportunity. They argue that a two-way partnership would make more sense, allowing players to wear Crocs in the game as well. However, the current announcement makes no mention of any in-game content tied to the release.

The past few months have been exciting for the Animal Crossing franchise. A recent patch addressed several critical issues, and rumors of a new Animal Crossing game announcement have sparked excitement in the community. While it's too early to predict how the upcoming Crocs collaboration will be received, the timing certainly feels spot-on.
